In this video, you will learn that if a Thai syllable or word ends in any of these letters - น, ร, ล, ณ, ญ, ฬ - it is pronounced as if it ends in น ('n'). This is because the Thai language does not use ร (R), ล (L), ญ (Y), or ฬ (L) as ending sounds.
For example, the word 'กาล' ends in an 'L' letter, but it is not pronounced as 'gaal'. Instead, it is pronounced as if it were spelled 'กาน' ('gaan').
We will use the sentence:
'เราควรเชิญคนพาลมากินปลาวาฬ'
(meaning 'we should invite bullies to eat whales') to discuss this topic.
