Sound like a real Thai! (Colloquial Pronunciation course)

  • Course
  • 40 Lessons

My name is Grace, your Thai teacher 😁 This pronunciation course is my best advice for Thai colloquial pronunciation. Through my 10 years of experience teaching Thai, I know what most people struggle with. I know how to help you sound more natural. I put everything in this course! Perfect for ✅ Thai learners who can already speak and understand Thai - but don’t quite sound Thai when they talk and want to improve

What is this course about?

This course is made up of short, focused lessons - each one targets a specific pronunciation problem that many Thai learners struggle with.

What will you learn in the course?

🚀 This course helps you sound more like a real Thai speaker, not like a "textbook" or a "newb".

Many learners already know how to read, understand tone rules, and distinguish short vs. long vowels. But when they speak, it still doesn’t sound Thai.

Why?

Because in real life, Thais often break the rules - or pronounce things differently from how they’re written.

This course focuses on:

✅ Fixing common foreigner mistakes

✅ Dropping or changing sounds the way Thais do

✅ Knowing which words aren't pronounced as written

✅ Connect words together and sound natural and native-like

✅ Sounding natural in full sentences, not just individual words

✅ Letting go of "textbook Thai pronunciation" and learning how Thais actually talk

❗ This is NOT a course for learning Thai from scratch. You won’t be taught how to read Thai, apply tone rules, or learn vocabulary. It’s all about how to sound Thai when you speak by pronouncing the way a Thai person would.

🪄 How long do I have access to this course

  • 📚 Lifetime access to all course content

Who is this course for?

This course is for

  • Thai learners who can already speak and understand Thai - but don’t quite sound Thai when they talk.

  • It’s for people who already know the basics of Thai pronunciation, tones, and how the alphabet works

This course WON'T teach you how to pronounce individual letters or explain tone rules from scratch

If you want to improve your pronunciation, sound more natural, and finally speak the way Thais really do in everyday life then this course is for you.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this course for?

This course is for Thai learners who can already speak and understand some Thai - maybe you live in Thailand, talk to Thai teachers/friends, or use Thai regularly - but you don’t quite sound Thai when you speak.

You might know how to read, understand tone rules, and pronounce words individually, but when you speak in real life, something feels a little off - maybe people switch to English with you, or you just know it doesn’t sound like how Thais actually talk.

If you want to fix that and start sounding like a real Thai speaker, this course is for you.

What will I learn in this course?

You’ll learn how to sound more like a real Thai speaker by fixing the things that make you sound foreign

This course will teach you:

  • How native Thais actually pronounce words in casual speech

  • Which sounds are dropped, changed, or merged in natural Thai

  • How to pronounce full sentences smoothly, not just individual words

Do I need to know how to read to take this course?

No, you don’t need to know how to read Thai — but it definitely helps.

If you can read, you’ll have a deeper understanding of why certain pronunciation mistakes happen (like misreading tones or vowel lengths). But even if you can’t read, you can still follow the lessons and copy what you hear

How should I go through each lesson?

I recommend going through each lesson one at a time:

The key is: don’t just listen - practice what you hear. That’s where the real improvement happens.

Do I need any prior knowledge?

Yes - this course is designed for learners who already speak some Thai.

You don’t need to be fluent, BUT you should be comfortable speaking basic sentences and knowing the basics of pronunciation.

Reading ability is helpful, but not required.

Will I learn to read?
