ใช่ปะ = Right?

ใช่ปะ is a casual spoken particle meaning “right?”. Sometimes you can think of it as “you know?”. But the word that is closer to "you know?" is เนอะ which I will explain in the เนอะ section (next section).

ใช่ปะ can be used in real questions. For example:

  • มีเงินใช่ปะ = You have money right?

  • ไม่เป็นไรใช่ปะ = You are fine right?

However, very often when ใช่ปะ is used, the speaker already assumes that the listener agrees.

It’s commonly used in casual conversation, especially when explaining ideas or recounting events. It helps keep the speech flowing naturally rather than to ask for an actual response.

Personal Insight:

🗣️ I try to pay attention to myself when I say ใช่ปะ and I notice that EVERY TIME I say this word, I pronounce it as ชปะ (ch-bpa) instead of (ใช่ปะ) chai bpa. I would call it colloquial/fast pronunciation.

Pay attention to how people in the video pronounce ใช่ปะ - it will sound closer to ชปะ (ch-bpa)
