To say "I" or "Me"

• men say ผม (pŏm)

• women say ฉัน (chăn) or their own name

To say "you"

• use คุณ (kun)

• or the person's name

• or the person's position. I.e., teacher = ครู (kroo) to refer to teachers, doctor = หมอ (mŏr).

Notes

คุณ (kun) also means "Mr."/"Mrs." I.e.,

• คุณ (kun) John = Mister John

• คุณ (kun) Sarah = Miss Sarah

• คุณครู (kun kroo) = Mr./Mrs. teacher
